To want to be virtuous is obvious and easy. There’s a fairly simple formula of “don’t hurt others” and “be kind, be nice”.
However, what happens when I am faced with a “not nice scenario”? For example, mosquitos that want to suck my blood and can contain diseases. What then?

Do I continue to be “nice and virtuous”, or do I exercise my power over them and the environment, and kill them?
(They’re not like spiders where it’s fairly easy to collect them in a cup and deposit outside without harming them)
So, I probably kill them…
Where did the virtue go now that I have the power?
Maybe I wanted power all along, but in lieu of having it, I instead virtue signalled about right and wrong in order to assert moral superiority over people who did not display the “correct” morals.
